Whew! Finally I'm able to post on our blog! Here is some of my recent work for the book "Sleep Baby Sleep".

I can testify that how I feel affects the art I make.  I been dragging since I got back from my trip.
Not thinking straight.  Not getting any art done.  Worked for dollars and the school system then crashing with a book.

This is the only color work I did on my trip.  Everyone was watching the Seahawks crash on Sunday morning and I went off by myself to make this.
I was concentrating on the rocks and inadvertently used what I learned from Chris when  we were at Elizabeth's.

Angelwing Begonia

My old standby model, my angel wing begonia. Had a hard time with this sketch, though. I got hit
with a cold, and I think it affects the way I see things.
Back from my trip to Ashland followed by a few days in Newport.  Going to post the first few drawings.  Then I'll post a few more tomorrow. Not keeping up with a drawing a day, but have about 2 for every 3. . .

Looks like the perfect opportunity to me.

Still discovering the ins and outs of my new phone.  I can take a photo of my sketches and I can e-mail it to you.  Is it possible to e-mail to the blog?

Katrate Kids

I am so hungry to learn to draw people in action. What better opportunity than watching my grand daughter in her karate class?

Old barn

Hmmm....I was pretty disappointed in this at first, but maybe it isn't so bad...

Didn't have water with me to paint, So I pencil sketched on site and took notes and a photo for color reference. Finished it when I got home.

I do love color!

Looking forward to more of your work!

Digging through everything to find sketches and drawings since we met in April.
Remembering how to get them to blog.

One project I am working on comes from a sketch I drew and turned into a card which I sent to my sister-in-law and now we are working on developing it into a quilt.  She's my quilting coach. This is  the image and the quilt, if/when completed will be about 3 feet square.

(And I'm still making quick sketches like this in restaurants and taverns when I get the chance.)
I drew this last year in Ashland OR.  This is the future quilt.

Still going strong

Took me two days to draw/paint my Angel Wing Begonia. Four pencil sketches, two ink and Watercolor sketches (over pencil).

Anyone else doing any drawing or painting?
